CLUE 3b
I decided to go more in depth and see if there was a correlation between how far away people live and how involved there are in on-campus college organizations.

Number 1:
1) major: public relations
2) home state: NJ
3) state college is in: Pa
4) what clubs/organizations are you apart of: TWLOHA, DASL, Helping Others Club, Best Buddies, CGA, Greek life, Hillel
5) what do you do in your free time: community service, homework, listen to music, hangout w/friends, watch tv, facebook
5) how far away are you from home: 4hrs

Number 2:
1) major: social work
2) home state: Pa
3) state college is in: Pa
4) what clubs/organizations are you apart of: aphio, marching band
5) what do you do in your free time: sleep, hangout w/friends, gym, watch tv, do homework, work
6) how far are you form home: 1hr. 30min.

Although these are only two interviews, the out of state student seems to be more involved around campus. My conclusion is that this is because a four hour drive is a lot harder to make in a weekend compared to about an hour so in a way the out of state student is forced to get involved so they have something to do while in-state students might be going home. I know personally I joined a lot of organizations because I am an out of state student and I wanted to have something to do. Another reason I joined organizations was not only to get involved and meet new people but also experience new things, coming from a region outside of New York City a town like Bloomsburg, Pa is a very different area. I want to further interview people and ask more in depth questions of not only what they're involved in but why they became involved and find out how different the area where they are from is from Bloomsburg.
